RAEDI Releases The Quarterly Economic Report - First Quarter, 2007

The Rochester unemployment rate at the end of the first quarter was at an average of 4.3 percent.  This remains below the state and U.S. averages of 4.9% and 4.5% respectively.  Increasing by eight tenths of one percent since December, Rochester has seen a slight increase above its 12 months average unemployement rate of 3.5%.

Rochester has also seen a slight increase of home sales in the first quarter of 2007 as compared to first quarter 2006.  The average days on market for homes is 128 days.
